Role
Sytel seeks two Senior Software Developers who are self-motivated and passionate about software development. This role will require the ability to learn quickly and to implement software with an emphasis on quality, reliability and problem solving. A successful candidate will also be able to communicate well with the rest of the development team and on occasions with customers.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Software Development Manager, you will be working with a team of very experienced and focussed developers. You will have the opportunity to improve your development skills in a company where technical excellence is the norm.
- Your initial responsibilities will be across all areas of Sytel’s software suite.
Essential Skills/ Experience
- At least three years commercial experience with C# .NET development.
- A strong ability to solve problems and think laterally.
- Strong English oral and written communication skills.
- A demonstrable record of achievement in either previous position(s), or academic work.
Desirable Skills/ Experience
- Any C++ experience preferable, not essential.
- Any Apache and PHP or Web Service development interesting, not essential.
- Relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL.
- Profiling of issues involving excessive CPU usage, memory leaks, page faults.
A degree in a numerate discipline is desirable but not essential.
